How we rank

Transparent scores, labeled sponsorships, disclosed affiliate links.

The rubric

Each tool is scored 1–5 on five criteria: Realtor fit / usefulness (30%), Output quality (25%), Ease of use (20%), Value for price (15%), Integrations (10%). The weighted total is scaled to 100: Score = Σ(weight × criterion score) ÷ 5. See the rubric table and leaderboard.

Ranking rules

  1. v1 scores are “initial editorial scores” from desk research of vendor sites (Oct 2026). Each is labeled that way on the card until Aaron or a reviewer tests the tool hands-on. Then the label changes to “Tested [date]”.
  2. Sponsorship never affects score or rank. Sponsored placements show as a separate, labeled slot.
  3. Affiliate status never affects score. The card discloses it (“We may earn a commission”).
  4. Opaque pricing (“request pricing”) caps Value at 3.
  5. Re-score on any price change >20%, major release, or reader-reported issue. Every card shows “Score updated [date]”.
  6. Use-case rank = overall score + 8 when it's the tool's primary use case (specialists beat generalists on job pages). An editor can override with a written reason shown on the page.

Prices

Price = starting price listed on the vendor's site. ✓ Price verified means it was read on the vendor's own page on the date shown. ⚠ Price unverified means it came from search results or third-party summaries, or the vendor page wouldn't load. Confirm before buying.
